This is the beginning of my attempt to catalog slightly more than 20 years of trips to Grand Canyon. In my head, I used to maintain what I believed was an accurate count of the number of my visits to Grand Canyon, which at some point had topped out at nearly 60 trips. . .this might have been ten years ago or so. . .and then I lost track and stopped counting. Some of this is pretty easy, as certain trips were especially memorable and/or well-documented in terms of old receipts, or used backcountry permits, or digital photos. Other trips will be much more challenging to recall and document here, and I am certain that I won’t be able to remember them all, or perhaps just as likely, I won’t know whether I’ve remembered them all. But there’s plenty more trips yet to make, of that I am certain!
